Report Overview
The Financial Empowerment Report is designed exclusively for credit unions using MemberXP's Financial Empowerment survey. This report allows you to gain insight into members' perceptions about their financial health and the effectiveness of your financial education and wellness initiatives. Using the Financial Empowerment Score (FES), this report offers a snapshot of member sentiment, helping you understand where you are excelling and where there are opportunities to enhance your financial wellness efforts and support your members' needs.
Where to Access the Financial Empowerment Report
Within your MemberView portal, go to the Reports section to access the report generator. In the Report Type drop down, select Financial Empowerment, select your desired Date Range, then click Run Report.
How to Use the Financial Empowerment Report
Once the report is generated, you will see a summary of your survey results from the Financial Empowerment survey. This summary includes the following -
Impact Questions
This section features circle charts that summarize member responses to the Impact Questions assessing their perceptions about their financial health. You'll see the total number of responses, how those responses are distributed, and the average score for each question.
The purpose of this section is to help you uncover member needs and identify opportunities to further support their financial wellbeing.
Empowerment Questions
This section presents responses to the core Financial Empowerment questions in three distinct formats to help assess how empowered your members feel.
The first format displays a chart that shows the distribution of responses to each question, making it easy to see how members rated their level of agreement or empowerment. This visualization highlights both the overall sentiment and the balance of responses for each question.
Questions with stronger agreement or a higher sense of empowerment will appear green-heavy, while those with more disagreement - or lower perceived empowerment - will be red-heavy, indicating potential areas for improvement.
The next format displays the Financial Empowerment Score (FES), both overall and broken down by Branch or Department. This table includes the total number of surveys, the number of core Financial Empowerment questions answered, and a breakdown of negative, neutral, and positive responses. These counts are important as they are used to calculate the FES.
How FES is Calculated
Financial Empowerment Score = (% of Empowered Responses) - (% of Not Empowered Responses)
- Not Empowered: scores of 1-3
- Neutral: scores of 4
- Empowered: scores of 5-7
This view allows you to dive deeper into how member sentiment varies by location, helping identify specific areas that may require more support.
The third and final format provides a simple chart that displays the response distribution for each core Financial Empowerment question. This view shows the exact number of responses for each response option (1-7), giving a more detailed look at how members answered each question.
You will also see the total number of responses per question and the total number of surveys included in the sample. This format offers a straightforward way to review how responses are spread across the full scale, helping you identify patterns or inconsistencies in member sentiment that may not be as visible in aggregated views.
